From dec. 5 to 12 Frys has a deal on the Nike PS60 mp3 digital player where you pay $55 plus tax, and there is a $50 rebate. Mine was $59 and change with tax, so $9 after. The other thread has a lot of info on this player.

Update 12/6/01 It looks like the price yesterday was a goofup on Fry's part, now the price is 70.99, but you can print out the reciept shown below, and try to haggle with them.

I'm glad I bought three when I could.

I got the rebate from Frys, and it is a Frys rebate, just like Best Buy is a Best Buy rebate. Palo Alto Store, CA.

I lay claim to the Fry's in Canoga Park! All you Anandtecher's go away! This is one hot deal if the rebate is valid. Damn hot. Need to pick a few of these guys up for Christmas presents. I'll leave some units for you guys, though. I missed out on the CompUSA book deal, not going to miss another one. Good hunting, y'all. I'll probably hit Canoga Park before work, and Burbank right after. Dammit, I'll probably be late for work.

Here in Tempe, AZ, it rings up at $79.99 and there's a $50 rebate.
That brings it to $30 + tax, the same as the bestbuy deal.
