scratched my q3 disc...will ID software replace it?

I scratched my q3 disc...will ID software replace it? I heard that some companies will replace the scratched disc since I payed for a license essentially....

They'll replace it if you tell them it was badly scratched when you bought it. I've pulled this trick a few times.

does it still read at all? if so just burn a copy and play with the burn. i've never even took the shrink wrap off my q3 cd 🙂

It starts to install then it gets an error. Its scratched right through, I can see thru the scratch

E-mail Activision or ring them. See what they say.

it's tough to say...they usually do it on a case by case basis...make sure you have as much of the game [box, manuals] as possible, as they may ask for them as verification.

Almost every software company will agree to replace damaged media for free during a 90 day period, provided you send them in the CD and something that proves you bought the software (ie a sales receipt). After 90 days the same applies but you usually have to pay a small fee (usually $5-$15 USD).
