My monitor model is Viewsonic pf790. I scratched it while i was moving it around. Toothpaste trick doesn't seem to work. Is there any way to remove the scratch?

try calling a glass shop. Mirror/window installers can sometimes polish surface scrathes out. They do this with an electric buffer etc, so it would only be possible if it were in the center of the screen.

Thr problem with this is that if they buff it out they most likely will rub off the antistatic-antiglare
coating and it will actually look worse then the scratch. I've looked for hours for someone here
on how to repair a screen with no luck.

Try rubbing clear candle wax on it and then buff off the excess with a soft clean cloth.

glass shop is your best bet, there are acrilic(sp) products out there that may fix it, but they work only about 40ish% of the time, and usually make things worse...antiglare can be replaced with some nifty stuff from an auto shop :).
