scratch on glass lense

I have a hairline scratch on my eyeglasses. Can the eye center buff out the scratch or do I need to get new lenses? I thought it wouldn't be noticeable, butit's pretty annoying. Looks like a piece of hair is on the lense.

new lens. My optometrist says it takes too much to polish a scratch out of a lens to make it worth the effort. Any "spot polishing" that would be effective enough to remove the scratch, would alter the prescription grind as well. Cheaper to just replace the damaged lens.

That's true. We recommend just getting a new lens if you have tinted you lenses you will need to replace both otherwise it will not be the same color.

time for a new lense!!! unless that hairline scratch is REALLY bothering you, are you willing to shell out cash for a replacement 😉 ?

Can I just show them my glasses, and they will take the frame and put on new lenses? Or do I have to do that 1 or 2 bit?

Not likely a scratch would be covered by a warranty.

OP, most likely, you'll have to leave the glasses with them so they can be sent in to have the lens fit properly.

You will have tp leave the glasses with the to have new lenses put in them. If it is a defect, but from what you say it isn't, you will have to pay for the new lens
