Hmmm... using Google i see several AnandTech threads at a site starting with

Using DuckDuckGo i found this

Googling the location I have under my avatar I found this website. Is this a scrapper or what?

Not sure if this would be a personal or technical issue.

Interesting. That one uses an iframe to display the actual AnandTech Forums, but with their ads overlayed. Not sure how much scraping they're doing.

The sites Spacehead found do actually appear to be faking our site. D:

This one does appear to be using an iframe, however scraping is an issue we've encountered before, and is certainly occurring for quite a few popular forums.

Warning: Do not, under any circumstances, log in using your AnandTech credentials on a site that isn't under the AnandTech.com domain. If you see a scraped version of the forums, do NOT attempt to log in "just for fun".

The objective of these scraped sites is often two-fold - one, to pull search queries from Google and generate revenue, two, to acquire login information from users confused about domains and use the data for phishing and other malicious purposes.

From our end, we'll work to get these sites taken down, but that can be a process in dealing with the web hosts where the illegal scraped forum contents are being hosted. In the interim, please avoid them at all costs.

Hoping a senior member would respond. I hope you are able to have those sites taken down.

I run a script that blocks this sort of thing. It's called ZBblock.
