Scraping glue off car doors is not fun.

I've spent at least an hour on it so far, and you can see how far I've gotten from the front of the door. My fingers hurt.

I decided I'm going to prep my car for new paint and do that at the same time as the motor. The car will be looknig brand new, but getting all the old trim off is going to be a bitch.

What are you using to get it off?

Plastic scaraper thing, and a claybar on the residue that's left over. Probably not the most effective way to do it, but I'd prefer to keep the paint in decent shape, even if I am repainting it, I don't want to save time getting off the glue jsut to spend extra time filling scratches in the paint.

Howbout some Goo-gone? Ive used it to get decal kinda stickers off a giant company decal/logo off a van, works great, no scratches, no redidue left over.

Call the local body shop supply store. They have several products for quickly removing that goo. I have used some spray stuff in the past that took it off in minutes without hurting the paint. Spend a few bucks and save a ton of time and effort, plus those clay bars aren't cheap and are definitely not the best for this application.
