Scottrade best for a newb investor?

I was reading this and if a person had $1k they wanted to spend on this particularly healthy market, it appears that Scott is the ticket. Anybody disagree with it as a good brokerage for low-activity, low-value trading?

They are ok. I hate having to call to withdraw money. Not a big deal, but that's something I should be able to do online. Executions leave a bit to be desired, again not a big deal for small investors.
