Well, looks like the headman for the Stone Temple Pilots is in trouble with the law again, it's really ashame, I thought he was doing so well.
Just shows that some people can never and will never change :(

AS a fan of STP, awful news...

I met the guy when he was in rehab a year or two ago. He seemed like a decent guy and his mom was very nice.

Awful news indeed.

<< If this is "awful", what do you call his crippling heroin addiction? >>

I'd have to go with......crippling.

I really wish that guy could get it together before he kills himself (or someone else.) He said he wants to be the next David Bowie. I don't see it happening on the track he's on.

Ya, I never would have recognized him. He had corn-row hair and looked more like a rap star than a rock star.

It was at a rehab place in Pasedena on a "family visit" day. I think his girlfriend/fiancee was there too.

It's too late for Weiland to be the next Bowie. He already sucks. If he wants to be Bowie, he's not allowed to suck until he's put out a decade's worth of amazing music.

Grunge is dead, and at this rate, Scott Weiland will be soon.

Scott Weiland has a lot more than most of these singers/musicians out there have. He writes great lyrics, is a great singer, and can perform like few others out there. He has his problems, and he does need to get past them if he wants to be the next Bowie. By the way, there isn't and never was such a thing as grunge.
