I do agree that the Pandemic is essentially over. And as such we need to stop the Pandemic Emergency actions and allow life to return to normal.

We should defend Taiwan if needed. But Taiwan policy has always been we will not speak of US troops on the ground...

I can’t speak for where you live but in NYC I can’t think of any pandemic restrictions that are in effect.

My life has returned to my normal, but we as a nation have not returned to "normal" as we still have a Federal Public Health Emergency still in effect.

As of right now the US has more than 40 emergencies in effect, one has been an ‘emergency’ for more than 40 years. If that’s your standard then the US was never normal and won’t ever be.

If US troops need to be in Taiwan, then it's already lost. The battle will be mostly air and naval. China won't be able to risk sending troop transports until they secure the route.
