I do agree that the Pandemic is essentially over. And as such we need to stop the Pandemic Emergency actions and allow life to return to normal.

We should defend Taiwan if needed. But Taiwan policy has always been we will not speak of US troops on the ground...

I can’t speak for where you live but in NYC I can’t think of any pandemic restrictions that are in effect.

As of right now the US has more than 40 emergencies in effect, one has been an ‘emergency’ for more than 40 years. If that’s your standard then the US was never normal and won’t ever be.

If US troops need to be in Taiwan, then it's already lost. The battle will be mostly air and naval. China won't be able to risk sending troop transports until they secure the route.

The pandemic is over and we will put boots on the ground in Taiwan if they are invaded by China.

I, for one, am thankful to have a President who stands up to America's enemies rather than creating division and enmity amongst Americans.
