Really? If you walked up to Shawn Michaels right now on the street and had a conversation with him, he'd be totally normal? Not saying you aren't right, I am just surprised. I have never seen a "where are they now" followup of a wrestler that wasn't a tragedy.

Yes, Michaels cleaned himself up around the same time that Hall should have; went born again Christian even, and all his merchandise in the last ten years has had subtle and not-so-subtle crosses on it.

And to the size comparisons to Hogan, I don't know what clips highland was looking at but Hall was definitely bigger. Hogan was billed at 6'7" or more but was actually 6'3" maybe 6'4", Hall was a legit 6'7" or 6'8". By the time the NWO started, even a slimmed down Hall was noticeably thicker than Hogan.
The other guy, Nash, was billed between 7' and 7'2" depending on the era and was legit 6'10"/6'11".

A bunch of cocaine + narcotic pain meds (middle class heroin) is a very bad combination. Add to that constant bodily abuse & you have a "sport" that has destroyed countless lives.

Fuck wrestling.

Video no longer available?

I was never a big Scott Hall fan, but was a big wrestling fan in the 80's and the resurgence in late 90's, early 2000's. It always makes me sad to see how hard this activity is on these guys, most of whom legitimately love it. They do something for little to no pay, that is absolutely destructive to their bodies, a job that by its very nature leads to pain medication which is just a short jump away from drug addiction, all because they love it. Amongst the various entertainment industries, music, art, movies, where many will try and only few will succeed, wrestling seems to treat its failures the hardest.

I watched it earlier (sad, but good). I call my wife over a few minutes ago to show her and see that the new video is basically a commercial.

Keep in mind both Stone Cold and HBK retired for medical reasons. Austin is still retired but rumored to want 'one last match' with CM Punk, and HBK after a long 3 year absence gave it one last run before bowing out earlier this year.

Its the ones that don't know when to hang it up that are the most tragic - Jake Roberts, Scott Hall, even Superfly Snuka still wrestles small independent shows frequently.

HBK left because he wanted to spend time with his family now. His first retirement was forced but this time it was his decision. Hell dude has (maybe had at this point) his own hunting show.

I look at Hogan and Flair as being tragic as well. These old farts just cannot let go of the past.

Thats what you get Razor Ramon, for trying to beat up Macho Man post match. Good thing Ultimate warrior came and whipped your ass.

Is it me or did I see Scott Hall living in a giant mansion at the end of the video? When Hall was in Bischoff-run WCW in the late 90's, Bischoff was handing out money like candy. I'm sure Hall was making bank money. Did he manage to keep it all, and is now simply a case of being a rich drug addict with nothing else to do?

Which part of this is sad?

The part about the guy with a hugely-successful career, millions of fans, a wife and 2 kids, and the physique and abilities of a modern-day Greek god, who then got addicted to drugs and alcohol, ruining his life forever?

Or was the part you found funny?
