EDIT: Except him being far more fucked up than the character in The Wrestler. Wow.

I wouldn't go that far. Hall clearly still has some money, and apparently the WWE helping with certain costs. If Hall was in the same financial shape as the movie's character, he'd likely have been dead a long time ago.

We're told Cody gave up on his dad due to "constant verbal abuse from Scott while he was binging" -- and he soon moved back home with his mom.

In other news, Microsoft's Bing is finally gaining mindshare as I read that wondering what the fuck "bing-ing" was.

Marked for later. I remember him from when I was a little kid.

Yea in his NWO days he was always running around next to Diesel, or whatever that big guy's name was. In my head I actually thought he was a lot leaner, but in retrospect the guy was pretty built. And even then he was still 6'7, pretty monstrous, just not quite as tall as a few others.

It's a perfect portrait of addiction. I've seen it more than I care to, and it's always sad.

290lbs is retarded large. Current average weight in the NFL is like ~250lbs. It's just that he was running around a ring full of other massive people.

Yeah, I'm 6'6 235 right now and I've gotten up to 250 or so while staying muscular. Putting on another 40 pounds is insanely big.

I think he stopped the steroid use by the time he hit NWO. He didn't look that big compared to his pre and early WWF days.

Same could be said to a lot of guys during the early 90s of the WWE. HBK and Bret Hart are other examples that seem to have shrunk during the course of their careers.

As a fan of wrestling in the 80's and early 90's, this is heartbreaking. I just remember him disappearing all of a sudden while other wrestlers carried on or new ones were introduced.

Is the first scene, where he enters that gym with 480 people and can barely walk, real? Please tell me it's staged.

Has there ever been a pro wrestler, that didn't end up crazy, on drugs, etc? I guess The Rock is normal. Has anyone else made that transition? Don't say Hulk or Ultimate Warrior. Seeing interviews with them, you know there's something wrong upstairs.

Nash, HBK, HHH, Million Dollar Man, beloved patriot Tonk Man... just naming a few.

Really? If you walked up to Shawn Michaels right now on the street and had a conversation with him, he'd be totally normal? Not saying you aren't right, I am just surprised. I have never seen a "where are they now" followup of a wrestler that wasn't a tragedy.

While he didn't become the movie star that Johnson did, I think Bill Goldberg has lead a fairly normal existence. He's a host of a DIY show, ASPCA spokesperson, etc...

I'm sure are others.

I will say Santa's Slay is a glorious movie.

Stone Cold was in The Expendables. Looked as normal as he could look I guess.
