Scotch mounting tape

Does anybody know a good way to remove the scotch mounting tape? It's the double sided foam one- strong stuff, I used it to hold up a cork board that I want to move now.
 
take as much of the foam stuff off as you can, then use a solvent based solution (goo gone, I believe) to take off the sticky stuff.

Might want to try it in a corner of the room to make sure it doesn't ruin the paint first.
