I hate the fact that if you don't use the internet port, that the Router hijacks all the brosers on the network if you use it as a DHCP server

Eh..sorry. It's late. I didn't specify that MY Negear router does that.

If it makes you feel any better my fvcking DSL modem has a built in router which sucks ass. I spent several hours trying to get my linksys router to see an internet connection. I never was able to disable the router function on the modem but I was able to set up a DMZ so I could use my linksys to manage the firewall and port forwarding. What a nightmare that was.....

I was setting up a rangemax for someone and it would NOT let me get to the configuration page without setting up the WAN:|

Usually you can bypass it but in this case one could not:|

Yeah. Mine did that and it pissed me off. I couldn't get around it. :( I got around it ONCE and when I did I couldn't get wireless to enable. So, I asked around AT, the Netgear boards. I didn't think about using a computer as a DHCP/Gateway, but I had to re-wire my setup in my house between multiple floors and had to use more network cable. So, it finally works now after sitting around for about 5 months. My Linksys worked out of the box, which I was pleased with. I might sell my Negear one.

All I want is an access point that I can bundle with the pfsense (m0n0wall) 4801 box I am building and selling...
