Scion xB

Modeps

I hadn't seen the scion xB up close and personal (only pictures) till the other day when I was stopped in traffic next to one. Next to my car (Crown Vic) it looks like a little toy. How cute! I thought Toyota was going for the younger market, but to my surprise, some grampa was driving it. 😀

yeah, a LOT of older people are buying the xB, kinda like a neo-vw-bus I guess.

It must be 3/4-life crisis.

Toyota might as well give up on the young market. They lost the whole game right when they girlied up the Celica and cut off the Supra. Scion tC is a step in the right direction at least, but they're going to have to show a little more effort if they want anyone* under 40 to give their cars a serious look for quite some time.

* Tercel-DX driving riceboys who live down the street notwithstanding. Yes, "dawg", "dem 18 rImZ" look real "mAd tYt3". I'm sure if your engine had enough torque to move those, I'd be staring at your Walmart altezza lights.

are the scions only sold in california? or all over the states? cause my mom is buying me a car in June. and I am really interested in a scion, but if they are available in NY state then we can drive down and see, but if only in california i'm scrapping the idea

I saw the xB in NY state... I'd suggest staying away from them and maybe getting something like a Focus or Impreza.

wasnt thinking about the xb 😀 but the tc, ohh well, probably get an entry level altima or accord, my mom at first was saying only toyota, then i convinced her for the '05 altima, but i heard there are some quality issues with it

They are a division of Toyota. I like the bread truck model... not much different from the Honda Element IMO.
