I have been looking at both for a month now and here it is.

Scion tC options
Leather
Lip Spoiler
Security system
Side Airbags

~19,500

Camry SE options
leather seating surfaces, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather shift knob, JBL AM/FM stereo, cassette player, 6-disc in-dash CD changer, 6 speakers, manual rear sunshade and cargo net.

vehicle stability control, traction control, brake assist, front side airbags and front and rear curtain airbags

Rear Spoiler

~21500

Scion Camry
Sporty or Sport Luxury
No known resale value or High Resale value
Small ass Trunk or decent size trunk
(Anyone have a scion tC that would like to post a photo of the trunk with both seats up?)

I just started my career and I have never bought a brand new car before. Anyone here with pointers.

I test drove the Scion tC and loved the handling and interior. I havn't stepped into an 05 Camry as of yet.

I test drove the Mazda 3 and hated it. First of all i felt cramped in the drivers seat 5'11 here. My right leg was touching the center console plastic. The rear seats didn't have anywhere near as much room as the Scion tC did. However you can stick your whole arm in the Glove box of the 3, GF got a kick out of that. I havn't looked at the mazda 6 but i'd rather have the camry for that price point.

Any other suggestions. My happy price point is 22000+tax or below.

My dad loves his camry to death. And I just bought one and love it as well. Of course I am bios, but you can't go wrong with the camry.

I wouldn't buy a Camry unless you are 50+, but that's just my thoughts.

what about a Corolla XRS? I like that car.

Camry, 100%. Reliable, refined, good handling, great resale value.

Then again, I'm 40+ and boring as hell.

Exactly, my dad is over 50.

And, for myself... I needed something that would last me 5 years through university.

Not Sporty?

Pics

edit: And the Accord looks to 80s

Malibu comes with a V6 and dealerships are known to go below invoice.

I was expecting invoice pricing on the scions but low and behold they are made in Japan so no can do compadre.

Should I mention I am also looking at the

Chevrolet Malibu LT

I wouldn't recommend looking at this.

What's wrong with the Malibu comes with V6 leather seats, climate control, good gas mileage.

Resale is abysmal at best. What about a Subaru Legacy?

heh, you're doing yourself a disservice by not even considering it. It has a better engine and auto tranny than the TC. Better engine and suspension technology over the camry.

Your right the resale of the previous Malibu's was horrible. Looked at the Legacy I can't get over the retarded hood scoop. Ridiculous.
