Science Fair topics needed

Yup, I need to do one for school... any ideas or questions you always wanted to know?

Would prefer something simple and do with electronics, computers, or maybe easy physics since I am doing it for a physics class

thanks... i'm clueless on what to do!!

do an experiment about the spring constant of a water balloon launcher. you can go to the park and shoot a rock pulling the launcher back different distances. it may not be complex, but it should be fun!

make sure to bring some water balloons to the actual constest. whoever places in front of you gets wet.

Biology / Earth Sciences..... Worms / vermiculture solution to pollution
Do a composting experiment with worms digesting vs basic composting of organic waste.
Electronics / Physics/ Chemistry ..... Basic Batteries ..... Potato Battery, powered Radio or LED or something, or Photovoltaic cells, for off- grid energy production / battery charging.

See if soundwaves have any affect on plant growth.

Take about 5-8 diffrent plants.

Get 2 of each type.

Grow one in solitude.

Grow the other with some Various Music... with the speakers right next to the plant....

Record growth and such and graph that shizz out...

Might I reccamend some music?

- Damn!; YOUNGBLOODZ
- Right Thurr; CHINGY
- When I'm Gone; 3 DOORS DOWN
- ANY Evanescence song
- Horn Dog; OVERSEER

Can't be that hard! I know someone who did it in eighth grade...

Just get reliable plants...

i don't know any, but google and find um!

Go out in your backyard, take your parents lawn mower, remove the engine and saw it in half to show it's internal workings.

(This is what I did for the scince fair long, long ago)

Many years ago at my science fair I built my own mini wind-powered electricity generator... used model parts (for the tower and blade) and a small motor, hooked it up to some LEDs and used a fan to blow wind against it to show it actually generates electricity...

I remember this one being done in 1972.
I think it was Led Zeppilan and Black Sabbath vs Lawrence Welk.
Some things never change.
or
Good projects never die....

Science fair is really where you ask a question and solve it by experimenting... not really building stuff... or cutting open a lawn mower...

ask this question:
Does gravity affect molecules? The answer is yes; just think of Earth's atmosphere.
Then argue:
If yes, then why do molecules diffuse in solution, seemingly disobeying gravity?
You can demonstrate this with food dye and test to see if gravity or higher g's influence diffusion rates.
add dye to the bottom of a few beakers. Spin one at high speed, one lower, and leave one be. See which diffuses faster. draw up a few experiments all to test whether molecules in different mediums feel gravitational forces.

Conductivity. Easy to do. Semi-original.

I did it in Grade 8.

Well, my friend's dad did it really...

A popular one at me middle school was "Which gom lasts longer?" ....ah, got to love CA public schools. I myself picked an engineering topic, but that stuff interests me.

and "gom" is not a typo
