Can anyone recommend me one or a few really good sci-fi novels. I'm not too much of a big reader, and I only like reading/finish a book if it's really worth it.

Thanks for your input!

Anything by William Gibson, Neal Stephenson, Frank Herbert (the Dune novels), Asimov, the list goes on...

Just finished Chasm City by Alastair Reynolds (I think) - good, but REALLY WEIRD...

I know some up here don't care for him but I really enjoyed LArry Niven's Ringworld and Ringworld Engineers

He also wrote The Integral Trees which I enjoyed, too.

It's hard to specifically point to anything and say you'll like it. Sci-Fi, like any other genre, has many sub groups, styles, and types. I range all over the map from Asimov to Herbert to Gibson (can't get over the one about the glasses (what was its name? Has the chick with the paper bike?)) to pulp cyberpunk to... you get the idea.

Maybe one thing you'll like is the Star Wars book Shadows of the Empire by Steve Perry. Fairly easy read, characters you already know, and an interesting plot.
