I've got the itch to go to a sci-fi convention this year. I live in WI so there aren't too many near me, especially during the summer. I have a ghostbuster costume I would like to wear, so I need to make sure it is a general sci-fi where all costumes are welcome. What kind of things go on a a convention? I don't consider myself much of a nerd other than the fact that I have a GB costume and want to go to a convention. Other than that I'm not into many sci-fi shows other than some of the old Star Treks.

err...i'm confused why you actually want to go in the 1st place then? and really confused why you want to dress up in a costume?

You've got it pretty well covered right there.

With most of you having over 10,000 posts you're calling me the nerd. I had the Ghostbuster costume for halloween, and I thought it would be fun to see everyone dressed up in costumes they put a lot of time into.

Dress up as a furry instead. You'll love that. :)

Go watch the episode of American Dad where they go to a sci-fi convention to catch a terrorist. That should prepare you pretty well.
