They've done this before with the McLaren F1... out accelerating an F-16 or something like that.

Hmm, race is over. Ferrari won the shortest one, the jet the other two. Neither of the links seem to be working though.

both are down -

OK, but you really don't need two "http://" in front of the IP address. One will do.

I changed it just for you ;)

streaming link has been dead for hours now so it doesn't matter anymore

Complete mismatch.

Auto will accelerate much quicker than the jet.

1500 meters may get interesting, but I doubt it.

Distances were chosen by the challenger to benift them.

The result is not really surprising... on a longer race the plane will always take anything that is on the ground. I remember seeing some Discovery channel thing where they had a Viper RT/10 go up against a "performance" ultralight (very small engines, high top-end speed). The viper took a huge jump off the line, but once the plane got in the air, it eventually overtook the viper.

I think some people here are taking this a little too seriously... its a PR event and nothing more... :p

...and i'll still take the F2003GA over the plane... :D

Here's the time by the way...
...........Ferrari...Typhoon
600m......9.4.........9.6
900m.....13.2.......13.0
1200m...16.7.......14.2

BTW... track was wet... 900m wouldve been pretty close if it was dry.

Cant really see it but the plane wears the original Baracca prancing horse, the same prancing horse that was eventually used by Enzo Ferrari for his company.

Heres the vid... but it uses real... :frown:
