That car is pretty badass. I guess the TopGear track isn't a perfectly smooth race track, which makes sense, 'cuz that thing was bouncing around quite a bit.

While the car is a very cool concept and I appreciate bleeding edge technology as much as the next guy, I'm much more impressed by a car that will blow most everything else away at the track and drive you home in relative comfort. This car doesn't quite do that, and hell you can't drive it on the road anyway.

that thing bounced in the middle of the long corner much more than the renault F1 car they ran around it a few years back. looked like schumacher hit the brake or something there

Well, the FXX is essentially the track-tuned version of the Enzo. The Enzo is still ranked in the top 10 on the Top Gear test track, although its status as a "daily driver" is debatable.

That run was fantastic....amazing what a fast vehicle that is...but as InflatableBuddha...a lot of those cars that have top times are very debatable as being even close to a daily driver.

I'm pretty sure the F1 bit wasn't done at the Top Gear test track.

Hmm, hadn't seen that one. I thought you were talking about the bit where Richard Hammond drove the Renault F1 car.

I was right too, that was done at Silverstone. :D

They had the FXX at the Ferrari Challenge at Road Atlanta couple months ago. I got couple pics of it on my camera. Beautiful car.

Looks like it slotted in right between the Aston Martin DBR9 and the Ultima GTR.

When you pay for it you can watch it. That sounds pretty much the opposite of socialist. What you want is for it to be free to all people. That makes YOU the socialist!

Yes, braking mid corner . . . . i hear that's a very popular driving technique, especially among premier F1 drivers on a hot lap . . . .

Isn't the FXX disqualified because it's not street-legal?

I figure it's going to get pulled next week, Caparo T1 style.

Ferrari has built 30, expanding the original 29 that were planned. These have all been sold to pre-selected past Ferrari customers, with the exception of one which was retained by Ferrari S.p.A. Ferrari's F1 World Champion driver, Michael Schumacher, who received the 30th when he retired from Formula One racing at the end of 2006. Schumacher's FXX differs from others in that it is the only black FXX without a stripe, it comes with red trim on the wheels, it has matte exhaust tips (regular FXX's have chrome tips), and his personal logo is stitched on the racing seats.

That's Shumakers car for sure.

I do it when I corner, when I start rolling and even when I am shifting!

I guess the FXX is too fast even for sarcasm to catch up huh?
