With the thing hitting the fan closing in, the implosion of the united states as we know it, the media propaganda machine is gearing up sky high.

It appears to be a connected incident, schools, US Navy, BlueCoat web filtering software all have pretty much on the same time started blocking infowars.com the biggest libertarian pro-freedom anti-terrorist anti-racist anti-violence pro-self-defense website in the world.

The schools also blocked several libertarian sites, as well as pro-gun sites, while all of the liberal, progressive, pro-war, pro-abortion, anti-gun sites were not blocked.

Also the BlueCoat software falsely declared infowars.com a "racist/hate/violent" website but quickly reversed the action a day later ...

There is now reports that US NAVY has blocked the website using their own intranet software, so it was done directly by the Navy, not an external software company. The network services about 700.000 sailors.

The below image is from a navy station. The image ofcourse provided by the oathkeepers and patriots inside the navy.

I can still access infowars on the Army's NIPRnet. I don't know why I'd want to though, as I have a window right here and can see that the sky is not, in fact, falling.

Well the Navy can do what they want but it sounds like an overzealous captian.

My company blocks me from getting to lots of websites, those that the company's feels I have no valid reason to access while I'm performing my work duties. And if one of those blocked websites happens to be infowars.com, you feel that's highly suspicious?

Banana Republic shit right here selective censoring political sites. Protecting political speech is prime directive of first amendment. You can bet if under Bush presidency he banned planned parenthood shit would hit the fan.

That said I see no media carrying this story. What gives?

While no fan of infowars.com, I do suspect our liberals in the forum would be up in arms if mediamatters or other favorite liberal sites were blocked. But as others have said, an organization can block any site it feels like if it does not advance the work of the organization.

I was unable to respond to this thread earlier ... didn't forget tho.

Well then I suggest you clean your glasses or something, figure of speech.

Sometimes it just takes a bit more effort on your part, for starters taking this sanity test would be a good idea http://www.naturalnews.com/045649_American_Sanity_Quiz_military_veterans_border_crossings.html

Here's what other's wrote - update to the article.

We also received the following email from a separate active duty member of the U.S. Military confirming the block.
“Hello, I visit infowars every day @ home and at work to keep up to date with latest news that I cannot find in the mainstream media. I am active duty military and my fellow comrades and I follow infowars and which usually ends up in discussion. Just recently my comrades and I have noticed the Infowars website has now been blocked on all our computers. I believe its another attempt for the govt to censor out the truth. I feel this story should be shared and at least infowars should be notified. As for my comrades and I we feel like its another attempt to take our freedoms which we fight for. Thank you for everything you do. Let the truth be told and never quit. If there is anything we can do please let us know.”

Companies usually block webgames, porn, steam, torrents, etc, but's it's totally not surprising that they would do target specific political news sites in this time and age.

The issue here is with the Schools doing this, and how can the military be hostile to it's own country's constitution, you can look at it how you want, but we call it treason.

captain.

And yes, the Navy is legally allowed to censor. Though normally captains only do that out at sea on deployment or training maneuvers.

Political stuff is blocked so people don't start political arguments at work.

My company has radio stations blocked for some reason. I don't know about you guys, but I work a hell of a lot better if I can listen to music. Curiously, youtube is NOT blocked, so I often find myself listening to presentations or documentaries while doing my work.

Not sure if inforwars is blocked or not on our DoD/DoN network. Never go to that site. But will say the filters do kind of suck. For instance espn works just fine. But the English Premier League site is blocked. Tacomaworld (toyota tacoma owners forum) works yet a toyota nation site is blocked.

Basically just saying sometimes its just the keywords or something they use over blocking specific site. Though at work if they block it i could care less. Not supposed ot be there anyways (or cnn, foxnews, ect). Start blocking it at home and id have an issue

Right ... but why would you care less for a website that's trying to tell you the US Military command has been compromised or is following a compromised polticial command and is training the troops how to engage with "domestic terrorists" which are libertarians, pro-gun, pro-freedom people the last remaining civilized people in the pool of zombies, and confiscate guns from civilians all in an effort labeled as "asymetrical warfare" ... i could go on and on.

It's extremely weird to me that none of the US military agencies has any strategic plans about what if the terrorists take over washington DC? Do they have that in one of the manuals, maybe I'm wrong, did someone even mentioned that at all anyway, the possibility of it?

The Declaration of Independence says it is your duty to overthrow a tyrannical government.

Is the "allowed to block on their own network" worth more than the country's fate?

Are you kidding? There's an entire Army infantry battalion assigned to MDW (Military District of Washington) along with a veritable army of federal agents.

The US military has plans and contingencies for a variety of domestic operations from hostage situations to civil unrest to CBRN attacks. I'm writing this post from Task Force 51 HQ right now. ;)

Why would people in the Navy need to visit Planned Parenthood?
