That's because it IS hot! If it's enough for my body to go into a panic mode and turn the sweat glands to 11 because it's overheating then it's too dangerous of a temperature to be exposed to.

I can see both sides.

One the one hand, kids have been playing in snow for tens of thousands of years. It can eliminate the losers. Kids who eat marbles shouldn't grow up to have kids who eat marbles.

On the other hand, if one of those little brats takes a packed snowball to the face and loses and eye that school is in a world of hurt.

it normally hits 30C - 34C during the summer here, not including the humidity which makes it feel like 40C.

I am not as far north as Red Squirrel. We are more like southern Michigan.

Yeah I think you guys get basically the same weather we get a little bit later. And it seems like its the worst of both worlds. Lots of snow and stupid cold weather making it miserable outside but then really hot weather with stupid high levels of humidity making it miserable outside. It goes back and forth enough we don't adjust as well as someone living in an area where its more of one or the other. I keep thinking we should leave but at this point that probably won't happen

All this talk of snow gives me a sudden urge to go tobogganing now. As a kid I always wanted to do it off a roof but never exactly got that opportunity. But I'm an adult now and I can do what I damn well please. BRB.

I don't think they get much snow in England.

This is today and the road to my youngests school. There's a road 3 foot under there somewhere!

At my lads school there's one play yard where there's no snowball fights so you can escape, it's pretty much full on flying ice death everywhere else.

At the youngest ones school it's usually teachers vs kids in the playground!

However, I do like having defined seasons. People in the south don't really see that and I would miss it a lot.
