School Windows/Office XP bundles

Hi I have an offer from my school to buy a copy of Windows XP and Office XP for $99, the brochure says that I am allowed to install the software on one desktop and one laptop - does this mean that these are corporate versions with no activation? Or does Microsoft release versions that can be activated on two computers for certain customers?

For $99.00 who cares, that is a great deal for both of them. As far as I know you can only run with the number of licenses that you have. I doubt your school is selling 2 license XP OS and Office. If they are it is an awesome deal then. Most likely it is one 1 license, but as I said before it is a great deal.

Which school are you going to? Maybe some others here have experiance with your school.

in other words if both are bundled, buy it.

Only 1 License per copy as it states in the reading.
I wanted to install on both computers but oh well. For the price I paid I surely can live with it.

I just picked up Win xp Professional upgrade ,= $25.00 office xp proffesional = $35.00, office 2000 proffesional= $35.00 , for $97.50 shipped. for my wife from wisc educ center in WI . She attends Parkside university.
It also includes Photodraw 2000, Front page express and Microsoft Publisher, just what I was going to get anyway to start a web page.
I almost spent over $500.00 easily for this but played UT 2003 until she got home and showed me the flyer she brought.
Just got it today, ordered yesterday.
I can't beleive it.
Getting ready to install XP on the computer.

the windows XP license says only one computer...office XP can be installed on one desktop and one laptop.

I go to Ohio State and the brochure states this, but I feel that Derango is right about the licenses, but maybe we have a different arrangement with Microsoft. Honestly I would prefer the deal that Billyjak had, then I could buy only what I need and buy multiple copies of them. Because I really want 2 Windows XP, and I can live with one Office XP. I really shouldn't be making bones about this in any case - I was just wondering how this might work.
