School System Ratings

Hey all, I'm in the market for a house and the school system is quite important, I wondered if there was a place that I could go (for free) and see how the schools in the town I'm looking at stack up against the rest of the state (or county)... Nudge me in the right direction folks!

CT is supposed to have pretty good schools. At least they pay their teachers like it.

nice link for averages, I'd like to see though like an overall best-worst list to view.

 

Milford has an excellent school system, avoid the big cities like the plague, they are over crowded and under funded.

We're looking at Southington/Plantsville line right now (public elementary, we dont have kids...yet!). Their schools seem pretty decent. 25% off sounds tempting though!

schooltree.org has a lot of info, maybe not ratings per se

but we used it to get info on our new school district when we moved

I live in Newington, pretty decent schools here. Nice town as well. Also look at Berlin, Wethersfield and Rocky Hill.
