That person should lose their job and tied to a post in the center of town so people can point and laugh at them.

LMAO wow. Such retardation.

I was at Canadian Tire the other day, and they actually had a different version of that song playing, I thought it was amusing.

Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-air

In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys, they were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air"

I whistled for a cab and when it came near the
License plate said "fresh" and had a dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought nah, forget it, yo homes to Bel-air!

I pulled up to a house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabby "Yo, homes smell you later!"
Looked at my kingdom I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-air

fresh to def.

I like their expert witnesses.

'HEY RANDOM CRACKERS IN A PARKING LOT, YA'LL USED TO WATCH FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR? YOU EVER GO TO HIGH SCHOOL? GET OVER HERE.'

But yeah, this is pretty goddamned retarded. I found the cop more likeable than most. You can tell he's trying to bite his tongue...I think he just wants to falcepalm and/or laugh.

The teenager learned his lesson...

What lesson do you suppose that is? I can't think of any lesson here that wouldn't make me consider stepping in front of a train.

Yeah seems he thought the whole situation was funny. If he had been like lot of other cops some people would have been shot, and the article would be something like "Teens shot for loud ring tone"

I'm sure that just made that cop's day. For once a call out where he's not putting his life in danger, but has something he can laugh at.

Why the F did the police need to detain him for 3 hours? It would have taken 5 minutes to listen to the ringtone and realize the nurse was a dumbass.

Maybe they first spent 2h 55 mins beating and tazering him, just to be on the safe side? ;)

She followed the law which requires her to report if she thought that there was danger of violence. She obviously felt that there was enough danger to warrant calling the police. Better for the kid to be detained for 3 hours than for the nation to see another school shooting with multiple deaths.

Sorry kid, pick a better song next time.

I don't understand the news story exactly.

Woman at doctor's office calls students phone, gets voicemail
Voicemail is either the kid saying the lyrics to Fresh Prince, or the actual Fresh Prince song?
Woman hears entire song? Part of song?
Kid has speech impediment so either all of it would be garbled?
And she's an idiot.

What don't you get? As a medical professional, she is legally required to report to the police if there is threat of impending violence to others. It doesn't matter if she is mistaken about what she heard. As long as she believes that there is a threat, she is bound by law to call it in.
