School Security.

Hey.

I attend a public High school and just wanted to share an incident that happened recently. Just when I was about to stab my burrito with a fork in lunch, sirens scream throughout the building. Some guy had pulled the fire alarm. I was in lunch obviously and everyone just looked around at each other wondering if they should actually GET UP and leave. Anyway, the question is this. It took our security team or whatever about 2 minutes to find the prankster. I saw them actually catch the guy. He was running down the stairs and a guy called him out and told he to stop. So they got him and he got a pretty harsh punishment, the fire alarm is a pain in the ass. =/. I think they just followed him through they camera systems. Is 2 minutes a good time to catch him? I know it he just pulled it but something else could have happened within that time, something much worse.

Its been a couple years since I"ve been a hs student but we didnt have security.......

thank god they caught him at least.

punkers.. quit pulling the alarms. here some moron was pulling the alarm in the commons at least once a week. i work at the front desk and during an alarm i have to help evacuate the building, even if its just a pull! pain in the behind if its during the times meals are being served.

plus we can't shut off the alarms ourselves. we have to wait for the fire marshall to show up and reset it. AND THEY CHARGE US for coming out. its just whether with a full truck or just the fire marshall.

freesia: Yea, our alarm system notifies the local fire station. it takes a certain amount of time before the sirens can be shut off.

amdskip: hehe, we have OVER 100 cameras throughout the school. Most of them are the small black round ball type cameras that has the wall-eye sort of view. its like a concave camera i think..

I wonder how much of our tax dollars are wasted on this type of thing. It's too bad kids don't think before they act or realize the money they waste. It could have been spent in much better ways, but these kind of kids don't get it. They just complain that their "school sucks".
