It's that time of year where we register for classes and I'm curious to see what everybody's taking in the coming semester. Post your major+year(junior, senior etc)+classes or whatever you feel comfortable with.

Major: Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
Year: senior

-Macroeconomics
-Corrosion engineering
-Transport phenomena
-Science in Literature
-Mechanical Properties of Materials

Nothing. For the first time in five years, I don't have to register for classes. It's graduation time, baby.

If it's taught well logic can be really interesting. But if it's not it can be a pain in the ass and not a good time at all.

I'm a physics graduate student... so these are graduate level courses

Quantum 3
Computational Physics (boring, already done this class at another school)
E&M 2

Only E&M 2 will pose any challenge, since Jackson is brilliant but made the most challenging textbook in the universe. Quantum 3 is going relativistic-based and is going up to second quantization, but there is no midterm/final so there is no stress. Computational is a joke just because... well, it's computational. Computational physics courses are always really easy so long as you already know at least one programming language (Mathematica is not a programming language)

Depends, I have two Cisco related courses and 2 Microsoft courses that I want to take. I'd also like to take some creative writing and novel writing courses, but I am not sure that will come to pass.

My USAF Tuition Assistance is finished in May with my separation, and my MGIB requires me to move upwards in terms of degrees. Since I will have my AAS at the wrap up of these courses, MGIB won't cover the Cisco, MS, or writing courses unless I can find a way to work them into a curriculum for a 4yr degree. Unfortunately, none of the major universities here offer what I want. One would think that a school as large of Arizona State would offer more computer related degrees than just Computer Science, but no.

Summer:
Jazz History (satisfies two gen-ed requirements)
Internship, for 3 credits

Fall:
Advanced Machine Design
Fluid Power
Finite Element Analysis II
Vibrational Analysis
Senior Capstone
Materials Engineering
Ballroom Dancing (it was the only phys-ed course that'd fit into my schedule, and I needed 1.5 credits)

It's going to be a hell of a ride. But after fall's over, I'm done.

You have a materials engineering class? That's an entire major over here ;) One of the biggies too.

Professional Development 2

Aero Structures will be murderous. Pretty much the worst professor at RPI on ratemyprofessors.com. You can get negative grades, professor refuses to answer questions and directs you to the TAs, ...etc.

PD2 is a joke. Write a few papers, do a presentation or two on leadership. I suppose I can give them credit for trying to teach Engineers how to communicate, but if they can't by now they're out of luck.
