I can't seem to get to my school's ftp.
I can get to aeem2.iastate.edu which are PC machines at school, but cannot get to aeem3.iastate.edu which are the Unix machines. When I try to log in the following happens at the ftp prompt:
ftp> open aeem3.iastate.edu
> ftp: connect :10060
ftp>
It should be giving me a login prompt instead of ftp>. So I try to log in anyway by typing "User myusername" but it tells me I'm not connected.
I am working from a PC at home if that matters. It might be worth noting that while I have never tried to access the Unix machines from home, I have logged in to the Unix machines from the school's PC's and vice versa.
I hope I explained myself well.
Nick
