DALLAS (Reuters) - The Paris, Texas, school district apologized Tuesday for a performance by one of its marching bands which played an Adolf Hitler anthem and waved a Nazi flag during a football halftime show.

WTF?! What was the band director thinking?

Read the whole article and you'll see. They played songs/waved flags from all of the major powers in WW2 as a memorial. I see no problem with it.

Just becaue the Japanese were not considered as "evil" as the Nazi's, doesn't mean that they weren't. I don't really see a problem with it either.

After reading the article, I don't see a problem with it. Flags and anthems from other WWII powers were displayed, it's not like they were glorifying the Nazis.

We are not allowed to factually portray what WWII was like now. Too many namby pamby PC elitests have decided that it would be inconvenient to show what actually happened, so they prefer the feel good, don't offend anyone, Disney version. Let's just twist history to meet PC standards, rather than accepting what really happened with all the ugly, horrid things all sides in the war did.

That'd be like Christians getting pissed because of a celebration of Roman history on Christmas.

People are oversensitive about things in general. Grow some thicker skin.

Some Christians get pissed when you deny them the right to shove their beliefs down your throat!
