I have not seen the pASsion and do not want to. I have heard that it is an emotional movie for the sake of drawing out emotion. Nothing more.

I don't know about you, but leaving my destiny to my emotions is not always the best course of actions. Seeing that film might affect me in ways I would rather not want to be affected, as I can now see this with a clear head.

German != Nazi.

I mean if president bush said don't say bad things about me or I'll kill you. Would you say bad things about bush? Probably not.

I in no way believe that the germans were at fault for the holocaust. Hitler and the Nazi's were at fault. Yes the germans allowed it to happen and yes they didn't fight it, but what did they have to fight with? rocks? versus the machine guns of the Nazi's. People want to preserve their own lives over others. And every day the germans saw that the Nazi's were very enforcible of the rules.

There are few people(AKA Human Shields) that are willing to risk thier lives to prevent people getting killed. But in the eyes of the Nazi's they would be considered enemies. We wouldn't shoot american human shields because we have some sort of dignity at least in 2004. Human shields during the american revolution. I don't think so.

The only time you would think that the germans were bad is when the kid is yelling. "Die jews die jews" when the women are on the train to Auschwitz(sp?).

Not to mention that if a german was caught helping a jew they would be killed as well.



I suggest if you liked this movie you should Read. MAUS 1 and 2 a graphic novel(AKA Comic book style) about the life of a jew during the war its really good.

Schindlers List also comes in a box set which I saw advertised in a BBUY circular, im definately going to pick that up instead.
