It seems the fight is finally over.

excerpts

(CNN) -- The Florida Supreme Court dismissed -- for the second time in a week -- a bid by Terri Schiavo's parents to have their brain-damaged daughter's feeding tube reconnected.

The state's highest court rejected an emergency petition Saturday night, saying it had no jurisdiction.

Bob and Mary Schindler have now lost nearly 30 legal opinions in both state and federal courts, which have consistently sided with their daughter's husband -- and legal guardian -- Michael Schiavo.

After the latest legal defeat, the family's spiritual adviser said the Schindlers wanted those keeping vigil outside their daughter's hospice to go home, be with their families and celebrate Easter.

Additionally, Felos said that Schiavo received last rites, which includes Communion, the day the tube was removed, and that a court has ordered that she be able to receive the sacrament one more time before she dies.

Felos said no exact time for those rites has been set, but they would be administered by the hospice priest.

In his five-page decision Saturday, Greer said that Schiavo's parents had failed to meet the burden of proof necessary to prove their latest assertion: that Terri Schiavo had attempted to verbalize "I want to live."

I know they really love their daughter, but sometimes you just have to let go and face the facts.

some laws are RETARDED.

The case isn't that simple. She spoke in the past about how she would NOT want to be kept alive in the state that she is currently in. I can say this without using "maybe" because over 20 judgements have confirmed this. These laws aren't retarded, the hypocrites that value life so much but not enough to even guarantee children health insurance.

I also wonder why they are so afraid to allow her to die? Why not let her finally be with her god, surely she has earned it by now.

It's too late, the selfish protesters have already caused at least one family untold grief.

PINELLAS PARK - As 73-year-old Thomas Bone prepared to die from incurable cancer, he had one wish.

He did not want to die alone, his family said.

So when a nurse at Hospice House Woodside told Bone's granddaughter to come Friday night, she ran from her room in the nearby family living quarters. She had no time to change out of her pajamas, and no time to grab her wallet.

If Jennifer Johnson had not been at the hospice where Terri Schiavo lives, she could have reached her grandfather quickly.

Instead, an officer stopped her and demanded identification - even though she says he had seen her come and go regularly. She called out to a hospice employee who vouched for her. Then she had to go through a metal detector.

"The whole time I'm telling him, "My grandfather is dying right now, I have to go,"' Johnson said. The whole thing took three to four minutes, she said.

When Johnson reached her grandfather's room, which was two doors down from Schiavo's room, a nurse told her it was one minute too late.

I hope theirs a special place in hell for all those protesting.
