SCEPTRE X9g-Gamer 19inch lcd. Its only $395 at newegg, i like the 12ms responce time, the picture quality is good according to cnet, and my favorite part is it has s-video and composite video inputs. Has anyone used this moniter? I would like to know how well the S-video and composite video inputs work. I know it only has a 1 year warranty and 140* viewing angles but that doesnt bother me.

I bought this baby from newegg last week, just delivered. This monitor recently had a $20 price drop (I bought it at $415-- asked newegg if they'd refund me the difference and they did! Great service as they shipped it 2 days after purchasing)

Setup for dual display was easy and there are no dead pixels. The limited viewing angle doesn't bother me because I can tilt the monitor enough to watch movies from my bed. The viewing angle is more limiting on the vertical than the horizontal. Horizontal viewing angle is actually pretty good. Also can't adjust the height of the monitor, which sucks.

I'm still testing it out, but I have to say it blows my lackluster Fujitsu laptop monitor out of the water (that's not saying much, but side by side, the Sceptre is much brighter, colors are bright). Bright and clear at default resolution. One limitation is that you have to keep it at the 1280x1024 setting, otherwise text becomes blurry.

I only have analogue outputs on my laptop, so can't comment on DVI. If analogue is this good, then digital can only be better. When I have time to burn, I'll play a game and check for noticeable ghosting. So far I'm very happy I bought the Sceptre X9G-Gamer.

I plan on hooking the monitor up to a DVD player and eventually DirecTV through the video component/S-Video connections. In my opinion: give this monitor very serious consideration.
