Well purchased this Sceptre 37" LCD for use as monitor and cant seem to get colors right. I have tried setting the colors i can with the TV itself and also from the computer via the Nvidia drivers and powerstrip but just dont know.

That shows the red bands im seeing. Also the general color etc on the set just doesnt seem right. I have 7800gtx evga card. If anyone with one of these can help with setup please let me know. What settings are you using? any special codes or somethign that give you more control over the tv/monitor settings other then what i can see normally with the remote? Let me know as i would really like to use this but if it isnt going to work properly im not keeping it for this much money.

thx

i have played with all the settings, it just seems like it is monitor issue. I see these bands when there is nothing hooked to it (i just disconeect everything and am looking at blank black screen and you get those bands you see in my link) so im thinking there has to be some way of changing the TV/monitor settings to correct it. Anyone using this monitor please chime in

Its not a settings issue, probably a loose connection somewhere inside the display.

Bands=display/connection problem, bad colors=may be alleviated by different gamma curve inside Powerstrip.

ok well you see that pic i put up? what do you mean connection problem? I can see those bands like in the pic when i switch it over to use the ATSC tuner so i dont think its coming from the computer connection.

I would get a replacement too. I had not one issue. Installation was simple. So I'm thinking your monitor is borked.

Yeah, you said the band is there even with nothing hooked up; so obviously it isn't an external connection problem, it is something inside the display.
