I'm not sure if this is exclusive to this LCD (a brand new Sceptre x22wg-gamer 22"), but I own two others (Dell 21") and haven't heard of this kind of problem before.
When the Sceptre is turned off but plugged in, it makes a soft pop sound every 2 seconds. It's not incredibly loud, but it's annoying anyway. The strange thing is that when I turn the LCD on, the sound goes away.
I've tried with the LCD plugged into a power strip and straight into the wall, makes no difference. The sound doesn't come on immediately after plugging it in, takes about 5 seconds. But then it's consistently there every 2 seconds...
Any ideas what this might be? I've emailed Sceptre to ask but haven't heard back yet. Wondering if anybody else owns one of these if they experience a similar issue? Or if you've heard of something like this with other LCD's?
