Scene It: Box Office Smash gets DLC

Queasy

After Scene It: Lights, Camera, Action promised DLC but never delivered I've been hesitant to pick up Box Office Smash. Now, they've finally announced the "Award Winners" add-on pack that comes with 300 new questions for movies that have won awards from the Oscars to the BAFTAs (British) and another game mode featuring 600 "Pop Quiz" true/false questions.

This comes out on Feb 13th for 560 MS pesos (or $7).

Box Office Smash has online play, doesn't it? Does it support "guest" users (or even additional gamertags) playing on the same console as a player with a Gold account during online play? (like Halo) My wife and I would like to play with my friend and his wife remotely. We have two Xboxes (and 2 gold accounts) and they have 2 Xboxes (and two gold accounts), but I'd rather buy only one copy of the game (and play in the same room as my wife).

Per this thread at Xbox.com, you and your wife can both sign in to your Gold accounts and play online but you have to be on the same team. Doesn't sound like it supports a "guest".

edit: and I'm wrong on the "guest" part per, this thread at Xbox.com. It supports a guest but again, you have to be on the same team.

Sweet

Man, I hope they make a Sports version for the next game. I just plain suck at movies, but I'd buy this for sure if it had other versions. The DLC potential is huge!

My thoughts exactly. With all the different versions of Scene It that gets moved on the shelves at stores, it should be a no-brainer to pump DLC out for this.

I don't own a PS3 and likely never will (my wife would kill me if I brought in another console), so no. 😛

I have BuzzTV and my friend has SceneIt BOS. Both are fun and awesome to play, i think Buzz is better just because its not strickly on movies and has DLC for even more categories.

I have Buzz Quiz TV and the previous Scene-It (just ordered the new Scene-It). I like the greater variety of question categories in Buzz, and I think it has more total questions; on the other hand, I like the variety in the types of questions in Scene-It (i.e. guess movie from picture, answer questions based on movie scene, etc)

buzz quiz tv has user created quizs to.... which are nice..

i do give credit to scene it for have fun quiz modes.. i like the variety they have.

Yeah I forgot to mention that. Some are good, some are meh. You can never really be sure about the accuracy of them, and there seems to be a disproportionate number of quizzes about pro wrestling. BUT it offers limitless replayability... just not in the regular game modes (where there are meta-games that go along with questions).

Nope. Just Box Office Smash. The good thing is that you can get Box Office Smash without the big button controllers for less than $40.
