Yeah, both BH7 & IT7 has their NB HS's held down via similar to spring type clips that hooks onto 2 hooks. This is basically my BIGGEST complaint with these Abit board... There're no fr*#king mounting holes around the NB... :disgust:

I got around to intall my Vantec Nexus, and it tells me the NB shoots upto ~45C while looping 3dmark 03 (idles ~38C). Wonder I should stick another fan on top of that sucker... :p

Btw, you guys notice that about 90% of our threads seem to just take on another topic entirely...? :p:D heh...

heh... thanks bud... :) Speaking of going astray on topic... just noticed that you and Mikki are now running W98SE (or were you guys always running it...?). Any particular reason?

98?? :p:p Yeah, its light weight, but man does it have a TON of shortcomings compared to 2K/XP. My only complaint with XP is the Teletubby interface. You can turn most of it off to make it look almost like 2K. I'll probably stick with 2K until I need XP for HT, then I'll be forced to "upgrade" to XP.

I guess it depends on what you use your PC for. Win98 dont cut it for me.

Dasm... I hope I do not need to upgrade to WXP...
It does support SMP but not Hyperthreading according to Intel. I'm sure it could with a patch. It looks like its a Microsoft "decision" to not support Win2K (force an XP upgrade). I would like to see someone try it and see if it works,

According to M$'s life cycle (whatever it was called) they will need to do patches until q4 2004.
So we will keep on seeing SP's just like we did with NT even though 2K was released.
I see no reason why Microsoft would not patch it.

Just read the link. It looks like an Intel patch and not Microsofts if I am not mistaken.
It is a wild card if Intel decides to put a W2K patch out :(.

I'm not gonna sweat it. I dont have HT now, so its no biggie. Once I get a HT CPU, I'll go to XP if need be. Gotta move with the times.
