Scary Fact: McDonald's Fries Do Not Decompose

Two years ago, my friend was stoned and drunk off his ass and asked me to take him to McDonalds to grab munchy food ( I was sober and still awake so I drove ). Anyhow, he gets a ton of food, I get an Oreo McFlurry and he got a ton of food. Anyhow, this clown takes out his large fry and is so gone that he fumbles the fries and manages to spill them all down the crack between my armrest center console and my seats. He says he'll clean it up but never does.

I finally get fed up with waiting and managed to get the fries out with a combo of a dust buster and a wire hanger. Anyhow today I was cleaning out my car and pushed the seats forward and I found a bunch of fries that I had missed, from two years ago, still completely intact. Weird stuff

Imagine what some potato slices down there would do.

if they are really greasy, and then dry out... they are pretty much petrified. Throw them in a compost heap with some moisture.. they will decompose, albeit slowly.

They decompose pretty quickly in a vat of digestive acids.

Neither do dead mice. There was a dead one in the stairwell (mostly unused) of our apt. building and it looked exactly the same for months till someone finally cleaned it up. Everything will last a really long time in the right conditions.

You can replicate this with french fries made in your own home. McDonald's doesn't add something to them to make them keep for months/years.

That's been debunked hundreds of times.

I dare you to link just 5 out of the "hundreds".

I have no real information as to whether it is real or not.

But just looking at the burger, what immediately sticks out is that there is no ketchup or mustard or onions or pickle slices on it, which points to it being a fake.

You expect food to decompose on the floor of your car? Certain things make stuff decompose and those things are not on the floor of your car.

She kept it in an airtight container and it's dried so no moisture for it to decompose with. It would be the same with any other food.

First thing that stuck out was the VERY new hamburger wrapper. I think the "explanation" is BS: "The paper and bag in the backround is circa 2008 - to add decor to the photo . My friend Robyn's idea."

that film was weak.

eat until you are past full 3 times a day..yea you are trying to fatten yourself like a fois gras duck, no sh*t you'll feel horrible.

studies have been repeated at university with much less drastic and sometimes no effect, very rarely was anyone affected like spurlock, who apparently is simply a genetically weak specimen.

that film wasn't much more than a fast food version of a david blain trick.

Bury it or just throw it on the ground and see if it still lasts 2 years, lol. Unless I'm mistaken, most of the decomposition process is driven by bacteria/fungi from the environment... either delivered through the soil, visiting insects, or whatnot.
