Unfortunately, you're probably right. When I had my bike, I always wore mine, and if I had a passenger, they were required to wear one. If they mentioned what it would do to their hair, I just rolled my eyes and handed them the helmet.

That bike's gonna need some work. considering it's going on 11 years old, I doubt it's even worth a grand in the condition that it's in. I'd give 'em $500 for it .. it'd give me something to fix up over the winter.
