Scary ass bug

I spent the weekend in PA for a wedding and came across this huge (5-7 inches) insect stuck on the wall outside my hotel room door. My friend and I located it on the internet, specifically the Dobson Fly. Anyone else ever seen one of these?

If that thing came flying at me... holy cow!!!... i would go running around, waving my arms and screeching at the top of my lungs like a big girl.
