What is that? Is that a little red RCA looking jack? I've got a Multipro CTV from AItech, and it's supposed to put what's on my monitor on a TV for presentations and such...i can't find that model listed on the website and i don't have the manual(got it from friend) and it's got a lred RCA looking jack on it, what is that for? The closest model on the website is like a multipro 2000 or something....help?

Thanks for your help, another question since you were so helpful before, A sustain pedal on an electric keyboard just makes a connection between the two tips, so itd be pretty easy to make right?

A scart rgb connector is a female 21 way connector (20 pins+metal shield). Do a search on google for multipro ctv and you should find a bit more information.

It lists the following for output:
"OUTPUT
S-Video (Hi-8, S-VHS)
Composite (RCA)
15-pin VGA Analog RGB Signal
RF (Cable TV Type Connector)
SCART (For PAL Version Only) "

On the back of my unit i have the S-Video, a video Composite out(yellow), a VGA out, and audio out(though it doesn't have anywhere for audio in, so i don't get why it's there, that or i'm overlooking something), as well as a red composite jack, i don't know what that's for and was wondering, is that the audio in? if a picture would help i can try and get one of those....would have to bust out my vid cam.....thanks

PAL (scart) is the European format. i don't think you should need that. These two links may be of some help for the installation.

Also came across this. I don't know if you need it or if it's of any use to you.

Side View of the Questioned Connection
Back view
Diagonal View so you can see relative position of both previous pictures to themselves

This model's supposed to have an RF connector i geuss, so could that be it? It fits a standard RCA jack.....I'm not having trouble setting it up exactly, i just want to know what this one is for, thanks

EDIT - just for additoinal information, there is a switch on the bottom right under the red one with the option for CH3 or CH4......leading me to beleive it maybe the RF in disguise.......

I'm not sure what the red connector is for. An F-connector is like a standard cable tv connector like this and yet in that photo it clearly looks like an RCA connector. You may be correct about it. According to the links I posted, that unit has the RF modulator built in. It would help if the photos on the installation guide on those links would load but all I get is red x's. I really can't be sure what the red connector is for.

At the very bottom of the Physical Installation guide, it has two pictures of the unit(explaining Macintosh install), and in both of those photo's, the connector i am speaking of is either covered up or isn't there, it appears there is a white cap over it....i geuss the only way to test it is to connect it to different things, an audio, video, not sure how i would test if it is in fact an RF....but i shall return

Well, i opened it up...heh, and next to the questionable jack, it said RF1.....remember how i said there was a switch to choose from CH3 or CH4, that's also connected to that little silver box....so now i just have to figure out a way to test the fact that is is an RF.......since i don't have an RCA > RF cable.....they don't seem common either...once again, i shall return
