Scared Sh!tless

Have you ever been scared sh!tless when driving.
So i'm sitting on the 405 (freeway from hell for non-LA folks) in stop and go traffic. For some reason road behind me is empty for about 1/4 mile. So we move, then stop... and so I am stopped. Suddenly, in my rear view mirror, I see this red mustang in my lane, change lanes at like 70mph. And then I realize that there is no fvckin way this mofo will be able to stop without hitting me. I see him screech, burn his tires, and I'm just like OH SH!T.
I am in the fast lane and the car pool lane is empty. He realizes that there is simply no way he can stop and makes an illegal cut to the car pool lane to avoid me. And all i can do is just sit there since the freeway is clogged ahead of me. Its not like I stopped crazily ahead of him. So he makes the cut, and barely avoids hitting me.
All this happens in less than 2 seconds.
God was I scared like hell when i realized that he was going to hit me. I am so thankful to god/stars/whatever you wanna call it that he didnt hit me.
Phew....

Yes, I have had many encounters similar to that which weren't my fault and a few which were and I breathed a HUGE sigh of relief afterward.

i was driving to my gf's house (its a 220 mile drive) and im on this highway where it curves but you can go keep going straight if you want. this clown is coming on the straight section towards me as im starting to make the curve... i see this happening in advance, hes going way too fast to stop at his stop sign. he blows right thru it, didnt even look for traffic or pay any mind that im bearing down head on at him @ 70mph. so i swerve into the other lane of traffic to avoid a head on collision. i flipped him off big time. i hope he saw it thru the tint.
i had to pull over and collect myself for a few minutes.
had there been another car coming i wouldve been really screwed and 3 people probably wouldve been laying dead on the highway.

I have definately had a few of those moments. Only one was self induced.
Most of the others are thanks to a dumb@ss friend of mine who thinks he is playing GT3 every time he gets behind the wheel.

Exactly. A few seconds can literally make the difference between life and death. Imagine if the next person who would have been there had left a minute earlier and whose path would have intersected with the both of you...scary if you think about it. Our lives really do hang by a thread of fate...
