About a year ago I bought a Sapphire 9800 non-pro and flashed it to become a 9800 pro. My brother just bought a 6800 GT, therefore handing down his VGA Silencer to me. So I thought I might as well give OCing the card a shot.

As of now, i have clock@472.5/mem@357.8 with no artifacts or freezes when running 3dmark03. I started to push the memory but have been mostly pushing the core clock until I hit a brick wall.

Am I pushing too much or am I ok to keep going? With every push, my 3dmark score keeps on going up. I hope I don't have to end up getting a 6800GT. College budget can't afford it!

I'd run a 3dmark03 loop or artifact tester or something to get that sucker hot before you push it any further. If you are stable there, I'd leave the core alone and push the memory as you aren't at XT speeds yet with the mem clock.
