Scar Hurting

The scar i have from my appendectomy (sp?) that I got over a year ago ssitll hurts sometimes to a certain degree. Its like its "tender"...doesnt really hurt,,,but def doesnt feel like normal skin would...is this common and is there anything I can do about it?

It will always feel *different*. I had surgery on my ankle back in Jan and it hurts sometimes if I move my foot in a way that stretches the skin just right. I think scars have no elasticity. After all being cut wide-open is a pretty significant insult to your body.

that's what I assumed the issue was....wasnt sure if it would ever go away

I've got a drunken college injury scar on my hip from 15 years ago and it still feels funky if I touch it.
