Scanning x-ray films

I hope that this topic is in the right forum , my appology if it isn't . I would like to scan some x-ray and MRI ( no I can get the digital files on the |MRI from the Dr. ) films into digital images with my flatbed scanner . Any tips would be appreciated .

You'll have to back-light them with something like a slide- or transparency-scanner.

You might just try a desktop lamp and leave the cover open. Normal room lighting might work, but you will probably have to enhance in some kind of proggy.
