scanning slides and microtek 3700 scanner?

Ive been looking for a scanner for a while and saw that best buy has the microtek 3700 for $99(after rebate) it also has a slide/film adapter
I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on this as I would very much like to scan slides that I have. Has anyone used this adapter and how was the quality? Has anyone scanned slides on other scanners and what was the result? Also, is this a reasonable price for the scanner.
any ideas/opinions welcome

At work we use Precision II Flextight scanners, but they are exteremly expensive.

However I have personally tired the HP6300 series with the slide adaptor, and those came out extremely well.
