Anyone scan their important documents in (tax, mortgage, receipts, misc letters)? If so, what hardware+software combination do you use?
Since last year I have been scanning most of my important documents. I have an HP 6200C with the Auto Document Feeder (got it for $25 on CL). It works fine, but the ADF doesn't know where to stop. It just scans in the whole document, but keeps on going a few more inches. So, if I want perfect looking documents, I have to do them one by one manually.
I have used the scanner at the office (expensive office printer+scanner+fax), and it just does them like WOW!!!! But obviously, that is an impractical solution for the home.
