Scanning BIOS Image in Hard Drive

Hello

I have just setup a new computer.

When i started the computer. i got the following message

First it showed Award Bios and 512 MB VGA Card


Then soon after, it displayed the following message:

Award BootBlock BIOS v1.0
Copyright ....

Scanning BIOS Image in Hard Drive....

My motherboard : GA-EP35-DS3L

What should i do ?

Its a new computer and i just started it for the first time and that is the message i received. The HD is not even Partioned yet.

I think ill have to RMA.

This is a Gigabyte Motherboard problem. Stupid manufacturer.

he problem was solved by Changing the DIMM Memory slots.

I had previously placed my 2 x 2GB memory slots in DDRII2 and DDRII4

I changed it to

DDRII1 and DDRII3

Now my computer is working fine :)

This is the stupidity that is called virtual bios.
It is one of those ideas that sounds good on paper but sucks in reality.
The ds3l boards look for a bios image on the hard drive if the bios is corrupt. Problem is it doesn't work 99% of the time.
To make it worse they removed the normal boot block option of using a floppy.
Really bad board if you happen to get a bad bios or flash.
Glad it is working now, just be careful if you have to flash it in the future.

I did much reasearch before buying Gigayte GA-Ep35-DS3L board. Everyone had good to say about him, it got high ratings in many of the review sites.
