I've been looking for a scanner to scan some artwork of mine and also some photographs. I recently went to CompUSA and the sales person told me that I only needed the higher dpi's for enlargements (to produce more pixels i guess). So ignored the higher priced HPs and Epsons and settled for the Microtek scanner which was cheaper ($149). But much to my dismay, the quality of the photo that I scanned was not as I expected. Some came out a bit faded. So I have returned the scanner. Now I'm left looking for a new one.
Can anyone RECOMMEND any scanners without going more than $300+ ??!?!
