scanner that works with win 7?

My canon flatbed D1250U2f scanner won't work with win 7 x86 even doing what MS says- install vista drivers in compatibility mode. Anyone else has any luck with their scanner working? If so, list it so we can get a list together of scanners that are compatible. I suspect a lot of scanners will never get win 7 drivers written and will have to be trashed. Also, list whether you are using x86 or 64 and any special stuff you had to do to get it to install.

My HP 3500c works but It's software does not. I've had it 6 years(with XP) and hardly ever use it so it works good enough for my needs in Vista-- though i did like using it's Director software which is incompatible with Vista. HP gives you a driver that allows basic functionality.

I guess you were right that not many drivers will be written for Vista or Win7.

My Canon Canoscan Lide 90 works, but the software that comes with it does not. It worked fine in Vista x64 though.

Yeah, it is pretty frustrating since you would not know what scanner to buy even if you wanted to buy a new one... Right now, I have to boot back into XP to scan and then save it to a shared folder. Not exactly an elegant solution.
