I saw a Mustek 1200UB at a thrift store the other day for $7 and realized that it did not have a power supply connector. After researching it on the Internet (google), I confirmed that it is indeed powered through the USB port. This would be very convenient for me. I didn't buy it because the condition looked like crap. I want to know if anyone can recommend a more-modern USB host-powered scanner. Perhaps one that does not require drivers with WinXP? I'd like to know if there is a better one than the Mustek 1200 UB.

I just saw one at best buy the other day, but I don't remember the model. So, they still make them.
